healing isn’t a quick fix
We live in a right now culture. We want things now. We tend to shortcut the process in anything we do.
We want instant healing, instant gratification, instant relationships, instant careers. Unfortunately that doesn’t match our reality.
Instant anything usually doesn’t work out very well. Instant food or coffee taste bad. The best things in life aren’t nuked in the microwave, they are slow cooked in the crock pot.
It’s the process that brings about the promise, the growth, the results. When we shortcut that process, we miss out on the true blessings that God desires for us.
Yes, it’s hard to wait. Yes it’s painful at times to go through it, instead of ignore it or dodge it, but it’s where the true growth happens, its where the healing happens.
If we don’t let the process happen and allow God to work, we will just be in the same spot again. Sometimes we have to go through it several times until we get it.
So today, don’t rush through the process to get to the end. Slow down and allow God do His thing in your heart and soul. I promise you in the long run you will be grateful that you didn’t take the short cut.
