Value what matters most

Don’t be enamored by shiny objects. Money, status and looks are temporary. Discover integrity, character, generosity, passion and heart. Those things have lasting power.

We tend to value the wrong things when it comes to people and relationships.

We begin to look at the surface and don’t dive deeper into who they really are. We put weight into the shiny objects and then we eventually realize that those things fade.

Instead we should change our perspective and value people with great character and integrity. Someone who is kind to others, not just you. Someone that has passion and heart to do something significant in their life.

When we focus on the shiny, it doesn’t last and usually ends in disaster. When we look deeper into someone’s soul and discover who they really are, that’s when we find the true person.

We wonder why relationships don’t last, because we are valuing the wrong things. We are on the search for a shimmering treasure and it’s not found on the surface. It’s hidden in someone’s heart.

Beauty fades, money is spent, degrees are put in a drawer somewhere, the Social media followers don’t matter and then what’s left? Just a useless shiny object.
